How to create a sub-learning outcome and a criteria

The instructor is able to create a sub-learning outcome and a criteria after an ultimate learning outcome has been created for a learning unit. If your learning unit is defined as an OBEM, at least one criteria is required before sending it to review for publication.

How to create a sub-learning outcome

  1. Go to Learning outcomes tab
  2. Click "Create a sub-learning outcome" underneath the ultimate learning outcome tree

  3. Define a title of a sub-learning outcome. It will be automatically aligned to the ultimate learning outcome of the learning unit and cannot be edited or changed. 
  4. Describe a description of sub-learning outcome (optional)

  5. Click "Create"

After the sub-learning outcome has been created, a criteria can be created accordingly. The criteria can be aligned with either the sub-learning outcome or the ultimate learning outcome. 

How to create a criteria

  1. Go to Learning outcomes tab
  2. Click "Create a criteria" underneath the sub-learning outcome or the ultimate learning outcome 
  3. a small popup is shown for filling out a criteria creation details. You can click drop-down to select which learning outcome you want to align it with.  
  4. Define a title of a criteria
  5. Describe a description of "Pass" for the criteria
  6. Describe a description of " Not yet" for the criteria

  7. Click "Create"

  Note

The sub-learning outcome and the criteria that have been created can be edited and deleted. If you have created a criteria and align it with a sub-learning outcome but then delete later, the criteria will be automatically aligned with the ultimate learning outcome.
